The Open Back Dress
The Open Back Dress is a custom-fit stretch dress pattern tool designed to help you create an open-back dress base for dancewear, ballroom practicewear, Latin dance costumes, figure skating dresses, tennis dresses, sundresses, swim-inspired looks, performance wear, and everyday fashion sewing.
Draft from your own measurements or choose from MiSlope’s ASTM size tables, then customize the pattern options to create a dress that fits your body, fabric, and design vision.
Adjust the strap width, neckhole width, open back depth, armhole height, center front seam length, center back seam length, side seam skirt length, and skirt flare to create unlimited open-back dress variations from one pattern tool.
You can also customize the negative ease so the dress is drafted for your fabric’s stretch properties, whether you want a closer performance fit or a softer everyday stretch fit.
Use this tool to create everything from a clean open-back dress base to a dramatic performance costume, ballroom or Latin practice dress, skating dress, tennis dress, sundress, or custom stretchwear design.
