Terms of Service

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Overview

This website and the MiSlope digital pattern-generation services are operated by [INSERT LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], doing business as MiSlope (“MiSlope,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

MiSlope provides digital sewing patterns, made-to-measure pattern-generation tools, and related services.

By accessing our website, purchasing a product, creating an account, or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and the applicable policies referenced herein.

Please read these Terms carefully before using MiSlope. If you do not agree to them, please do not use our services.

Our online store is currently hosted by Shopify Inc. MiSlope may use other technology providers or platforms to deliver its services.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Section 1. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to purchase and use MiSlope products.

You agree to provide accurate and current account information and to maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account and must notify MiSlope if you suspect unauthorized access.

Section 2. Digital Products and Purchases

MiSlope sells access to digital sewing pattern-generation tools and related digital products.

Unless otherwise specified, purchases are made through a one-time payment. No recurring subscription fees or automatic renewals apply.

Purchases provide access to the specific products and functionality described at the time of purchase, subject to these Terms.

No physical products are shipped unless explicitly stated.

Product descriptions, available features, prices, and applicable purchase conditions are presented before checkout.

Purchases are subject to our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy, as well as applicable consumer protection laws.

Section 3. Lifetime Access

MiSlope products are offered with access for the operational lifetime of the MiSlope service unless a different access period is expressly specified at purchase.

“Lifetime access” refers to the operational lifetime of the MiSlope service, not the lifetime of the purchaser.

A one-time purchase does not guarantee that MiSlope or any individual software tool will operate indefinitely.

This access commitment remains subject to applicable laws and the contractual obligations owed to customers.

Section 4. Platform Migration and Service Changes

MiSlope may update, improve, redesign, relocate, or migrate its services to alternative websites, domains, applications, hosting providers, or technology platforms.

Access to purchased tools may therefore be provided through MiSlope.com or another platform operated or designated by MiSlope.

Where reasonably possible, existing customers will retain access to purchased tools or substantially equivalent functionality following a platform migration without an additional purchase fee.

Routine technical improvements, security updates, and maintenance may be introduced as necessary.

Changes that materially affect contractual rights or obligations will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Section 5. Service Availability and Discontinuation

MiSlope strives to maintain reliable access to its products and services.

However, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical difficulties, third-party providers, security issues, or circumstances beyond MiSlope’s reasonable control.

MiSlope may discontinue individual products or its services due to legitimate business closure, technical limitations, or other operational circumstances, subject to applicable law and contractual obligations.

Where reasonably possible, MiSlope will provide advance notice of permanent discontinuation and an opportunity to download previously generated sewing patterns.

MiSlope does not guarantee indefinite operation of any particular website, application, or individual tool.

Any required notice, refund, compensation, or other remedy will be provided in accordance with applicable law.

Section 6. Software Licensing and Intellectual Property

MiSlope and its licensors retain ownership of all proprietary software, source code, drafting algorithms, interfaces, designs, documentation, trademarks, and other intellectual property associated with the platform.

Purchasing a product grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the purchased tool in accordance with these Terms.

Purchasing access does not transfer ownership of MiSlope’s software, source code, proprietary technology, or underlying drafting methods.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit MiSlope’s software or proprietary technology without written permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

Section 7. Personal and Commercial Use

MiSlope-generated sewing patterns may be used to create garments for personal use or commercial garment production.

Customers may sell finished physical garments created using MiSlope-generated patterns.

Unless expressly authorized in writing, customers may not sell, redistribute, sublicense, share, or commercially distribute MiSlope-generated digital sewing pattern files as standalone digital products.

Customers may not provide unauthorized third parties with access to purchased pattern-generation tools or operate an unauthorized pattern-generation service using MiSlope’s technology.

Section 8. Pattern Accuracy and Garment Fit

MiSlope generates sewing patterns based on body measurements, fabric information, selected adjustments, and other inputs provided by the customer.

While MiSlope strives to produce accurate drafting results, finished garment fit and performance depend on numerous factors, including:

  • Accuracy of customer-provided measurements
  • Fabric stretch, recovery, composition, and behaviour
  • Selected negative ease and fit preferences
  • Printing scale and pattern assembly
  • Cutting accuracy and sewing techniques
  • Individual body proportions and garment construction

Customers are responsible for verifying measurements, testing print calibration, selecting appropriate materials, and evaluating fit before cutting final fabric or beginning production.

We recommend producing a test garment when working with unfamiliar fabrics, new designs, or significant fit adjustments.

MiSlope does not guarantee a particular finished garment fit or outcome. This does not exclude any applicable legal warranties or remedies for defective products or services.

Section 9. Printing, File Compatibility, and Third-Party Software

MiSlope may provide digital sewing pattern files in formats intended for home printing, large-format printing, projection, or use with compatible design software.

File compatibility may vary depending on the customer’s device, operating system, printer, software version, and configuration.

Customers are responsible for checking print settings, scaling, and file compatibility.

MiSlope is not responsible for errors caused solely by third-party printing settings, external software, or device configurations outside its control.

Nothing in this section excludes responsibility for defects attributable to MiSlope.

Section 10. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

All prices are displayed in the currency indicated at checkout.

Prices and promotional offers may change for future purchases.

MiSlope may correct pricing or product-description errors and may refuse or cancel orders where permitted by applicable law.

If a paid order is cancelled by MiSlope before the purchased product or service is provided, any required refund will be issued in accordance with applicable law.

Customers agree to provide accurate payment and account information.

Section 11. Refunds and Cancellations

Because MiSlope products provide access to digital pattern-generation tools, completed purchases are generally final for change-of-mind requests.

Refunds, cancellations, and exchanges are governed by our Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy, and applicable consumer protection laws.

Customers experiencing technical difficulties, access problems, or product defects should contact MiSlope for assistance.

Nothing in these Terms limits legally required cancellation rights, refunds, warranties, or other consumer remedies.

Section 12. Customer Information and Privacy

MiSlope may collect personal information, including body measurements and saved measurement profiles, to provide its services.

Customers retain their rights in personal information and original creative materials submitted to MiSlope.

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

MiSlope does not acquire ownership of a customer’s original creative designs merely because the customer uses MiSlope tools.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that any measurements or personal information submitted on behalf of another person are collected and provided lawfully.

Section 13. Prohibited Activities

Customers may not:

  • Use MiSlope for unlawful or fraudulent activities.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, software, or systems.
  • Introduce malicious code or interfere with platform functionality.
  • Copy, extract, or reverse engineer proprietary software except where permitted by law.
  • Redistribute purchased access or digital pattern files contrary to these Terms.
  • Use automated methods to overload, disrupt, or improperly extract proprietary information from the service.
  • Violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

MiSlope may take proportionate action against prohibited activities, including restricting access where legally permitted.

Section 14. Third-Party Services and Links

MiSlope may integrate with third-party services, including payment processors, e-commerce platforms, and software providers.

Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

MiSlope is not responsible for independent third-party products or websites outside its control, except to the extent responsibility arises under applicable law.

Section 15. Feedback and User Submissions

Customers may voluntarily submit suggestions, reviews, feedback, or other communications.

By submitting non-confidential product feedback or suggestions, customers authorize MiSlope to use that feedback to improve its products and services, without transferring ownership of the customer’s original creative works.

MiSlope will not publicly disclose private body measurements or personal information through this provision.

Public testimonials, images, and other customer-created content will be handled in accordance with applicable permissions, privacy laws, and intellectual property rights.

Section 16. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

MiSlope strives to provide functional, accurate, and reliable pattern-generation services.

However, no digital service can be guaranteed to operate without interruption or technical error.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MiSlope is not responsible for losses caused solely by incorrect customer-supplied measurements, unsuitable material selection, improper printing, or garment construction errors unrelated to a failure of MiSlope’s services.

MiSlope does not guarantee specific commercial results, sales, profits, or garment-fitting outcomes.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for matters that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable legal warranties, mandatory consumer protections, and other non-excludable obligations.

Section 17. Suspension and Termination

Customers may stop using MiSlope at any time.

Stopping use does not automatically entitle a customer to a refund.

MiSlope may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, unlawful conduct, or material violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

Permanent account termination or service discontinuation will be handled in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Termination does not eliminate rights, liabilities, or obligations that accrued before termination.

Section 18. Changes to These Terms

MiSlope may periodically update these Terms to reflect changes in its services, technology, business operations, or applicable laws.

Updated Terms will be made available through MiSlope’s website or another designated service platform.

Where a change affects an existing consumer contract, MiSlope will comply with applicable legal requirements regarding notice, consent, amendment, and cancellation rights.

Posting updated Terms does not, by itself, override rights or contractual protections that require additional legal procedures.

Section 19. Governing Law and Severability

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada, subject to mandatory consumer protections and other applicable laws.

Nothing in these Terms restricts a consumer’s right to bring proceedings in a court or jurisdiction where such rights are protected by law.

If any provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally permitted.
