Draft a custom-fit one-piece catsuit sewing pattern using your own measurements or MiSlope's built-in ASTM size tables. Choose traditional side seams or a no-side-seam construction with a single center-back body seam. Customize your front neckline height, back neckline height, strap width, leg length, and negative ease to create a catsuit pattern tailored to your design preferences and measurements.

One Piece Catsuit Sewing Pattern Tool

Create a classic, fitted one-piece catsuit, dance unitard, or stretch bodysuit with MiSlope's online parametric pattern drafting tool. Designed for dancers, figure skaters, costume makers, and sewists working with stretch fabrics, this versatile catsuit pattern combines customizable necklines, adjustable strap widths, and multiple construction options in one digital drafting system.

The standout feature is your choice of with side seams or without side seams. Select traditional front and back pieces with side seams, or choose the no-side-seam option, which eliminates the side seams and center-front seam so that the only main body seam is at the center back. This gives the catsuit an uninterrupted front and smooth sides.

Customize the silhouette by adjusting the front neckline height, back neckline height, and strap width. Create a higher or lower front neckline, change the depth of the back neckline, and modify the shoulder strap width to achieve your preferred design.

Choose from four leg lengths: full length, capri (3/4 length), biker shorts, or short shorts. Expand the design with sleeves or a mock neck using the integration key included with this tool alongside MiSlope's separately purchased Sleeve Expansion Pack and Collar Tool.

Unlike a conventional fixed-size PDF pattern, MiSlope calculates pattern geometry from your selected measurements, sizing profile, negative-ease settings, and design options. You can create additional patterns for different wearers, fits, and designs without purchasing another size.

This is a digital sewing pattern drafting tool, not a finished garment or a physical paper pattern. Your purchase gives you access to the online tool and the patterns you generate from it.

Key Features

  • Two Construction Options: Draft a traditional catsuit with side seams, or select without side seams for a streamlined front and sides.
  • Single Center-Back Body Seam Option: The no-side-seam construction eliminates both side seams and the center-front seam. The center-back seam is the only main body seam, creating a clean, uninterrupted silhouette.
  • Adjustable Front Neckline Height: Customize the height of the front neckline to create a higher or lower scoop neckline based on your preferred style and coverage.
  • Adjustable Back Neckline Height: Independently adjust the back neckline height to create a higher back or a deeper scoop-back design.
  • Customizable Strap Width: Adjust the width of the shoulder straps to create narrower or wider straps, giving you additional control over the appearance of your finished catsuit.
  • Four Leg Lengths: Select full length, capri (3/4 length), biker shorts, or short shorts from the same pattern tool.
  • Adjustable Horizontal Negative Ease: Enter your preferred horizontal negative-ease/stretch percentage to control how closely the finished stretch garment is intended to fit.
  • Custom Measurements or ASTM Size Tables: Draft from personal measurements, use the built-in ASTM Girls 2–20, Missy Straight, or Missy Curvy size tables, or start from a size envelope and change individual measurements.
  • Parametric, Custom-Fit Drafting: The tool recalculates pattern geometry from your inputs instead of simply scaling a fixed-size pattern up or down.
  • Sleeve Expansion Pack Compatibility: Use the included integration key with the separately purchased Sleeve Expansion Pack to draft compatible sleeves.
  • Collar Tool Compatibility: Use the integration key with the separately purchased Collar Tool to create collared or mock-neck catsuit variations.
  • Interactive Pattern Preview: Inspect the generated pattern in your browser and update it as you adjust your measurements, neckline heights, strap width, and construction settings.
  • A4 and US Letter Printing: Download tiled sewing patterns formatted for A4 or US Letter paper, for printing and assembling at home.
  • Full-Page Canvas Download: Download your generated pattern on a full-page canvas for projector sewing or opening in compatible vector software, such as Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Unlimited Pattern Generations: Return to the tool to change measurements, sizing, neckline heights, strap width, leg lengths, construction, or negative ease and generate new patterns at no additional download charge.

Perfect For

  • Custom-fit one-piece catsuits and dance unitards
  • Ballet, contemporary, and lyrical dancewear
  • Figure skating practice wear and custom skating costumes
  • Stretch performance costumes and stagewear
  • Fitted bodysuits with customizable necklines and straps
  • Full-length, capri, biker-short, and short-short dance unitards
  • Costume makers sewing coordinated garments for groups or performers
  • Sewists looking for made-to-measure digital sewing patterns
  • Designers who want a one-piece catsuit with a single center-back body seam and no side seams

With Side Seams or a Single Center-Back Seam

The One Piece Catsuit Pattern offers two construction approaches from the same drafting tool.

  • With Side Seams: Draft the catsuit with conventional side seams separating the front and back sections. This is a familiar construction method for many sewists.
  • Without Side Seams: Draft the catsuit with one main body seam at center back. There are no side seams or center-front seam, leaving the front and sides visually uninterrupted.

This flexibility lets you choose the construction that best suits your sewing preferences, fabric, and desired finished look. You do not need to purchase a second catsuit pattern to experiment with the alternate side-seam option.

Customize Your Neckline and Strap Width

Make your catsuit your own with independently adjustable neckline and strap settings. Rather than working with one fixed neckline shape, MiSlope allows you to modify key design measurements and generate a new sewing pattern from your selections.

  • Front Neckline Height: Raise or lower the front scoop neckline to create your preferred level of coverage and neckline depth.
  • Back Neckline Height: Independently raise or lower the back neckline to create a more covered back or a deeper scoop-back silhouette.
  • Strap Width: Customize the shoulder strap width to create a delicate, narrow-strap appearance or a wider, more substantial shoulder design.

Combine these options to create different neckline and strap combinations from the same pattern tool. Whether you prefer a higher neckline with wider straps or a lower scoop neckline with narrower straps, MiSlope recalculates the pattern based on your selected design measurements.

Four Leg Lengths in One Tool

  • Full Length: Create an ankle-length catsuit with a continuous fitted leg.
  • Capri (3/4 Length): Draft a cropped catsuit for studio practice and dancewear.
  • Biker Shorts: Create a fitted mid-thigh-length one-piece outfit.
  • Short Shorts: Choose a shorter leg for dance costumes, practice wear, or performance styles.

Change the length and regenerate the pattern whenever you need a different style or fit. All four lengths are included in the same digital pattern drafting tool.

Customize the Fit with Negative Ease

The amount of negative ease affects how closely a stretch garment follows the body. MiSlope gives you control over the horizontal negative-ease/stretch percentage used during drafting, allowing you to adjust the intended fit for your fabric and project.

Use a setting appropriate to the fabric's stretch and the result you want, whether that is a close-fitting performance garment or a less compressive stretch fit. Because MiSlope regenerates the pattern from your choices, you can revisit your settings and create another version as needed.

Expand Your Catsuit with Sleeves and Collars

The One Piece Catsuit comes with an integration key containing measurements that help you use two compatible MiSlope drafting tools. The key includes front and back armhole measurements and neckline measurements.

  • Sleeve Expansion Pack: Use the catsuit's armhole measurements to create compatible sleeves and develop long-sleeved or other sleeved dancewear designs.
  • Collar Tool: Use the catsuit's neckline measurements to create compatible collars, including mock-neck looks.

The integration key is included with the One Piece Catsuit Pattern Tool. The Sleeve Expansion Pack and Collar Tool are separate purchases.

Draft for Kids, Teens, and Adults

Create patterns using your own measurements or MiSlope's built-in ASTM size tables: Girls 2–20, Missy Straight, and Missy Curvy.

Choose an ASTM size envelope and size, then personalize individual measurements if needed, or draft directly from custom measurements. This makes the tool useful for sewing for different performers, sizes, or body proportions without relying on one fixed-size sewing pattern.

Interactive Pattern Preview, Printing, and Full-Page Output

Inspect the generated pieces in your browser and update the pattern as you change your measurements or design settings. When you are ready to sew, choose the output that works for your workflow:

  • A4 or US Letter tiled pattern: Download print-at-home pages, print at the proper scale, and assemble them into a full-size sewing pattern.
  • Full-page canvas: Download the full-size pattern for projector sewing without assembling tiled sheets, or use it in compatible vector drafting and design software such as Inkscape and Adobe Illustrator.
