Love these patterns, they work so well with the negative ease for perfect fit. I am addicted and bought various patterns and blocks. Takes all the need away from having to work anything out. Also, it gives you a good foundation too, as I could alter this one to take the princess seams straight down to add godets for a ballroom dress. Would love it if you could make a godet pattern which we could add to the bottom of other patterns from the waist.

I had absolutely NO professional sewing experience. None. I’m just a very artistic person whose grandmother taught her how to use an old Singer machine when I was little, sewing tiny pieces of fabric together for dolls. That was the extent of it.

I had never bought fabrics properly before, never cut a real pattern, never sewn a costume from scratch, and I didn’t even know how to take measurements correctly.

And yet… somehow… today I can create my daughter’s dream skating costumes. Entirely because I found Tanya and Mislope.

The patterns are INCREDIBLE. They fit like a glove when you follow the instructions correctly, and most importantly adapt so well to the body during performance, with exceptional coverage just where you need it and exactly how you need it. Everything is explained so clearly — even measurements, adjustments, fitting, customization… all the things that in the beginning made me feel that maybe I couldn’t do it.

But honestly? The patterns themselves are only part of what makes Mislope so special.
Tanya is there. Always. She is SOOOOO what makes Mislope incredible and so unique! Even with me being in Portugal and her in Canada, it genuinely never felt like there was a time difference between us. The support you get through her live chat is honestly unbelievable. Unless she was literally asleep, she would answer my endless questions with kindness and patience (and trust me… there were lots questions 😂). Bonus, she never, never made me feel like an amateur or that I couldn’t do it.

She gives precious tips, explains things thoroughly, updates her products constantly, and actually listens to suggestions from customers. She even keeps a list of ideas and improvements people mention, and does ahead and makes what we need! She just keeps making and adding new products, and they adapt to everything you already have easily, even if it’s not from Mislope. Fantastic. If something isn’t immediately available, she helps you find another solution.

And the cost-benefit? Amazing. One pattern can be adapted into so many different costume designs, reused forever, and measurements can be changed anytime to fit different athletes as they grow.

Without Tanya, I simply could NOT have done this. My artistic side may have imagined the costumes… but Tanya made them possible. And beyond all that, she is just such a genuinely nice person. That’s honestly the cherry on top. It almost feels like I gained a Canadian pen pal friend — except through sewing chats instead of letters haha.

So Tanya, when you read this: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Truly. I could not have done this without you. ❤️

I drafted the pattern easily with my customers sizes and it was a perfect fit. , no alterations needed very happy customer 100/100

Returning customer here. First off not only is this site unique and accurate but Tanya had THE BEST customer service! I was able to use the new and amazing Princess seam sloper and alter it for a base of a dress and made it backless. The fit was impeccable and really hugged my bust. I love the new options to adjust the leg line. Amazing patterns here that you can make into anything! Don’t buy any other stretch pattern, nothing compares to Mislope! Dedicated customer here!

I've used this sloper for two tops, both very different. Happy with how easy it is to use! Can't wait to see what else I'll do with it!

I needed a quick skirt for a costume, and this helped eliminate the trial and error I usually go through! Dancer loved it!! Used the bandeau pattern for the top, brief and a-line skirt for the bottoms.

I'm very new to sewing and decided I would try making dance costumes. (My daughter's been dancing since she was 3 and is currently in college at The Boston Conservatory thriving as a BFA Contemporary dance major.) I wanted to begin a creative journey that would help me, help her, pay for tuition. I took up sewing and i love it so much. So much of my time is spent "figuring things out" so having a pattern template like this one not only saves me time, but saves me the painful task of working with numbers and geometry. This has been an incredible find and I'm so grateful for all that this program has to offer. Tanya is a wealth of knowledge and has gone out of her way to answer ALL of my questions and there have been many, simply because she's invested in her product and wants me to succeed. I'm recommending this to everyone I know that sews. Tanya is truly a gem and so is MiSlope. I've attached a photo of the recent duo costume I created using Tanya's Dartless Sloper.

Made my first pair and its a game changer, so fast and perfect on the first try, without all the hassel of guessing, trying on, and reworking. Saves me TONS of time! I'm hooked!

The measurements I took resulted in a perfectly sized leotard for my dancer, I didn't have to make a single adjustment. Thank you!!
